by BENCHARAT HEBERT Visit Date:April 7, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The Downtown Inn should be renamed Downunder Den. This is not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in but it is the top 5 running for worst. We fought mosquitoes all night the first night. The bathroom is so small that you must move the shower curtain to get to the toilet. The breakfast buffet, we have previously enjoyed, was no longer available. This morning I woke up with a terrible back ache from a too soft bed.We will definitely not be returning to this hotel and will submit our review to websites. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

by wanida Visit Date:November 27, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The service (reception / food at room service was very good. The staffs were helpful. BF was OK but look not so clean. The room looked a bit small and old. The pool was too small for swimming. It is very close to night barzar. Recommend if you do not want to stay too far from the night market. Value for your money. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by IAN BROWN Visit Date:November 19, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The good bit: its a great location and 1,000 baht. But, lets for a minute look at the pictures in the dining room; Jim Morrison, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and the Beatles. Now, do you think this could be some kind of retro-chic ? or is it just a sign that the hotel hasn t been updated since the 80 s ? Well why not pay your 1,000 baht and find out ? but be prepared for that strange smell in the room to permeate your clothes - the smell of 20 years worth of unchanged carpet and mattress that you can take away as a souvenir. And can i pass on my thanks to the cleaning staff who in the staff room next to my room (305) would help me wake up at 7 am everyday by banging on the wall. Fantastic job.Oh - and the breakfast is good. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Morten Skibsted Visit Date:November 8, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Good location close to night market and a lot of good thai restaurants; in same time a quiet place. Breakfast was not interesting, nearly no thai food! The staff was friendly and helpful." |
by Toni Catherine McQueen Armstrong Visit Date:March 9, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "great hotel for a cheap price. good location to night bazar, far enough away to be quiet. all the staff were freindly and helpful. Looking out from the hotel visit the touris agent just accross and on the left of the hotel. She was very helpful and friendly. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Brounen Visit Date:December 17, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Check in was oke. Friendly staff.\r\nBreakfast was very good.\r\nMinuspoints: Many bedbugs in the room. When we let the airconditioning running during the night, the stayed away. \r\nBreakfast staff was cleaning the table before breakfast time was over and they sat down to eat them selves.\r\nNo good advertising.\r\nWe do not recommend the hotel to other people. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

March 9, 2009 by Margareta Johanna Knapp Visit Date:February 17, 2009 "A ok hotel. Nice staff and a good location. The room was ok, a lot of ants though, but otherwise clean. It s a good place to stay if you re interested in checking out the nightmarket, it s only a few steps away. The poolarea was so-so." |
Fast and effective., March 25, 2009 by Mara Joy Lambert Visit Date:February 17, 2009 "Great location, really couldn t get much better! Hotel is average, fine as it has everything needed and quite clean, no extras though. Staff speak very little English and it appears that most rooms are smoking.Do not book hotel transfers as they cost more than an airport taxi and are in a shuttle bus that only runs every hour. Would stay again." |
